Takeout dining to benefit the nonprofit MCFC in March and April

Coastal Roots Hospitality will donate from Tarpy’s, Montrio, and Rio Grill Restaurants

The Coastal Roots Hospitality group–with restaurants Tarpy’s, Montrio, and Rio Grill–has designated the Monterey County Film Commission as the nonprofit recipient of its “Pick It Up—Pay It Forward” program for the months of March and April.

The community can lend support by ordering takeout food from any of the restaurants, and 10% of each order will be donated to the film commission. It’s a bit like dining for donation dollars.  (For menus visit coastalrootshospitality.com).

The nonprofit film commission works to bring an economic boost throughout the county from the film industry.  In the 38 years since the film commission was established, more than $138 million has come into local communities through on-location film production.  It provides free assistance and markets county-wide locations for film productions ranging from feature films and commercials to music videos,  TV series, and documentaries.  For more information go to FilmMonterey.org.
