MCFC’s “Hollywood in Your Backyard” Mixer Set for November 14 in Carmel-by-the-Sea

(Oct. 25, 2024 – Monterey, CA)  The Monterey County Film Commission is planning a “Hollywood in Your Backyard” mixer on Nov. 14, 2024, at the Hofsas House Hotel located between 3rd and 4^th Ave. on San Carlos Street in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

It’s an opportunity for local film professionals and supporters of filming in Monterey County to network, and learn more about the Monterey County Film Commission’s resources for film productions and the local film industry.

The event will take place in the hotel’s poolside meeting room from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., with tickets at $15 ($12 for those listed as film resources on FilmMonterey.org/resources/) on the Eventbrite link at FilmMonterey.org.   Included in the ticket price is a glass of wine and charcuterie small bites.  Sponsors for the mixer are Hofsas House Hotel, Honest Engine Films, Platter Perfection, and Scheid Family Wines.

Attendees have a unique opportunity to engage with staff and board members of the Monterey County Film Commission, which is dedicated to inspiring and facilitating film and media production throughout Monterey County, thereby creating a positive economic impact. The commission helps film production companies find the right locations and local skilled professionals, and the various goods and services that on-location productions need.  There has been more than $136 million in spend by film productions in local communities since the film commission began in 1987. The Monterey County Film Commission is a nonprofit organization, created by and funded in part by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors.
