The event promises to be an opportunity to connect local colleagues in the film industry and supporters of filmmaking in Monterey County, and to forge new connections.  It’s also a chance to learn more about the Monterey County Film Commission’s role in economic development through the film industry and on-location productions throughout the county.

Tickets are $10 and can be ordered at Eventbrite: http://tiny.cc/j6xwxz.  Light refreshments and parking validations are included.  Event sponsors include Eden Rift Vineyards, Exclusive Home Management, and Woody’s at the Airport.  Event co-chairs are Monterey County Film Commission board members Pete Bassett and Dot Findlater.

“Whether you’re a filmmaker or service provider here, this is the place to be for networking and mixing,” said Bassett.  “It’s a great chance to get to know who’s who when it comes to resources for local film production.”

Established by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors in 1987, the film commission attracts and facilitates film productions for economic development. More than $134 million in economic impact has come into Monterey County communities from on-location film productions since it began.
