Hola Mexico Film Festival

Maya Cinemas presents the acclaimed Hola Mexico Film Festival, a collection of the award-winning best Mexican films of the year, September 27 – October 3, 2019 at Maya Cinemas.

Hola Mexico Film Festival brings together hilarious comedies and touching dramas that have packed theaters throughout Mexico and been acclaimed by film critics, and Maya has scheduled each of the films to play at least twice during the Festival so moviegoers can find one to fit their schedules.

“This is a fantastic group of films,” said Moctesuma Esparza, Founder and Chairman of Maya Cinemas, and the award-winning producer of films such as, Selena, Milagro Beanfield War, Gettysburg, Walkout, The Dorothy Dandridge Story, and many more.

Maya brings this Festival to the city as a cultural highlight, as the films have been praised by critics in Mexico and America. All films are in Spanish, with subtitles in English.

Comedies include the Best Comedy of the Year, La Boda De Mi Mejor Amigo ( My Best Friend’s Wedding), as well as Mirreyes vs Godinez, hailed as the best Mexican Film of the Year, and including award winners: Las Ninas Bien (The Good Girls), Ocho De Cada Diez ( Eight Out of Ten), Dulce Familia (Sweet Family), Si Yo Fuera Tu (If I Were You), Ombligo De Guie’Dani (Guie’Dani’s Navel), 108 Costuras (108 Stitches),  and Como Si Fuera La Primera Vez (50 First Dates).
