“Celebrity Awards Night” in Monterey to celebrate Hollywood’s Big Night of Cinema

(Monterey, CA, Feb. 20, 2025) — It’s time for fans of film to make the scene and walk the Red Carpet in style at the “Celebrity Awards Night” party celebrating the 97^th Academy Awards® ceremony in Hollywood.

The Monterey County Film Commission’s event will be held on March 2, 2025 at Characters Bar in the Monterey Marriott Hotel starting at 3:30 p.m. It will feature multi-screen viewing of the Academy Awards® telecast, light bites and discounted bar drinks, a silent auction, and a chance to mingle with local film industry professionals.

Tickets are $95 at https://Filmmonterey.org/events/ and there is a special $10 valet parking price.

It’s a time to celebrate achievement in film, and to support the Monterey County Film Commission’s mission to promote and facilitate film production in Monterey County.

Proceeds from the silent auction will be donated to victims of the wildfires in Los Angeles.

The Monterey County Film Commission was established by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors in 1987 to attract and facilitate film productions for economic development. An estimated $138 million in positive economic impact has come into Monterey County communities from on-location film productions since it began.
