Join the filmmaker for a special screening of Stronger than Bullets
on Music Freedom weekend. This film is a rousing, multi-award winning documentary about the power of music to elevate the human spirit above even the direst conditions. After being banned for decades, a defiant music scene erupts amidst the Libyan revolution to overthrow the tyrant Gaddafi. Musicians stand shoulder-to-shoulder, guitar to rifle, alongside rebel fighters, and strike a chord for freedom. But after the war is won, Libya soon descends into civil war. Yet this time, the music shall not be silenced, for “Strings are stronger than bullets.” Director and CHS alumnus Matthew Millan will lead the discussion after the screening.
