Surreal Cinema presents “Fantastic Planet”

Join Dali17 for the screening of “Fantastic Planet,” an animated science fiction film directed by René Laloux. Things are about to get very surreal in this French animation classic from 1973. “Fantastic Planet” depicts a dystopian future on an alien planet, where humans are slaves and pets to a race of enormous beings. Known for its Dalinian imagery and vibrant fusion-funk score, “Fantastic Planet” has burned its way into the memory of cinephiles around the globe and its subversive relevance is palpable to this day.  Admission is free for Dali17 members. Call (831) 372-2608 to secure your tickets.  Tickets are $10, $5 for kids.  To see a trailer go to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vL5hfAABzNs&feature=youtu.be
